Go Green Fashionista & Expo June 25, 2011
The 3rd annual "Go Green Fashionista" took place June 25, 2011, at Mia at Biscayne, honoring eco-friendly fashions and styles ranging from vintage clothing to original eco-friendly accessories and wardrobe vamping. "Go Green Fashionista" showcased high fashion at its smartest.

Helmed by Tiairria Green of Mode Brand Haus, the headliner was a special tribute showcasing the uniqueness of Japanese fashion.  Mode Brand Haus' take on Harajuko was well-received by the crowd.

The Fashion Showcase was hosted by Miami’s own Chris Phashion, a style icon and delightful personality.

The Fashion Showcase will also included: RAX Collection, Earth friendly jewelry and accessories handcrafted with natural materials from the environment; Inta Gansone’s funky style dresses made out of newspaper and other recycled products; Haitian Hand Bag Designer, Adjanie Muller, embodied by the environment with natural materials and great influence from her Caribbean lifestyle, with her collection available in various stores in South Florida. AshikoBela by Jessica Jimenez designs exquisite handcrafted one-of-a-kind frames with designs adorned with reused chains, lace, studs, and crystals, with her personal artist (Joel Arellano) to hand-paint to transition their style. Vintage fashion is also one of the most popular fashion forward steps to going green. Enjoy fashion showcase filled with styles ranging from the 60’s to the 90’s with a bit of today’s edge by RagHouse:Vintage Indie Fashion. Joining “Go Green Fashionista” this year was Miami’s own, The Fashion Designers Expo who coordinated the show along with Miami’s top glam squad, Academy of Glam.

Guests in attendance sampled eco-friendly products and visited different vendor booths presenting their "green" products such as natural soaps, beauty products, skin care amongst others. Everyone enjoyed complimentary organic food, vegetarian appetizers, natural juices, fruits, and even Organic Vodka tasting!

This year, the eco friendly fashion designers each represented a charity organization dealing with the environment, clothing the poor, donations, amongst others and help. ALL guests were able to help with fundraising and donations to their favorite designer’s chosen charity, including relief efforts for Japan and Haiti.
